Santosh Deshmukh

Thanks for all your efforts over at NPP. Came across this article today during my patrolling, and you had added a notability tag. While I completely agree that the individual does not appear notable, what are your thoughts on moving the page to The murder of Santosh Deshmukh? I'm thinking that the crime got enough coverage to pass notability, although I'm concerned over WP:SUSTAINED. Onel5969 ^{TT me} 12:35, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Onel5969 Thanks for asking. The subject doesn’t seem notable, but I’m also concerned about SUSTAIN. That said, moving the article there (without "The" in the title, by the way) and tweaking the lead seems like a reasonable step. Flower (skunk from Bambi) article - requesting your take

Hello - You graciously provided new page view of the Flower (skunk from Bambi) article.

After your review, the article got so greatly trimmed or reduced that it got templated and is now marked for deletion (as you may see).

Question for you. If I were to return this article back to the state when you reviewed it (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Flower_(skunk_from_Bambi)&oldid=1283605693), would you template it as a "plot summary" and/or "general notability"?

Ultimately, I'm wondering if it's worth returning back to the state at the time of your review on 15 May 2025.

@Sven's carrots Hi there. I do not have a take on this. It appears to be clear that the deletion discussion has established that it is not notable as a standalone fictional character. When notability is being examined, we don’t just look at the sources you present, we look for sources too (at least, every AfD nominator is expected to do that), if at the end of our search for sources we still cannot find sufficient sources, then the subject can be deemed non-notable. That helps, as after your review, editors who modified the article absolutely hacked it down so much (removing references, too) that it came to the discuss deletion state. The DCWC is back!

Hey Vanderwaalforces, the Developing Countries WikiContest will be returning for a second year, and sign-ups are now open! The contest will run from 1 July to 30 September, and the objective remains the same: improve as many articles relating to developing countries as you can to help fight systemic bias on Wikipedia.
